N95-1 rumored firmware

New rumored firmware for the n95-1 v30 will be the latest update, should add maps 2.0 shareonline3.0, asr (automatic screen rotation), nokia search with a google plug in.

I find its great that nokia keeps enhancing the n95 series, for all those that dont go out and buy a phone every few months, and with this new upgrade im sure the other n95′s(U.S. VERSIONS) will follow suit. Here is discussion going on regarding the new firmware and speculated features.

2 Nokia Handset scheduled to launch on 8/25

Seems like Nokia has been improving on their handset leakage problem, for some reason I have no clue on what is being launch on 8/25. Just rumors going around that it will be the leaked images I posted a while back the N79 and the N85 click here to see them.

Let me tell you guys what I really love about Nokia is the way they handle their bloggers and press. Nokia gave invites to some bloggers and press to this Handset launch. One of the lucky bloggers that got invite for this launch is iGadget Life. This is where I found the article regarding the phone launch.

Like I said I am totally clueless about what phones they are going launch, just know for a fact that they are Nseries phones judging by the image of the invitation.

Post your comments below and let us know what is your wild guess on this phone launch?

Growing Unhappy E71-2 Owners Complain about RF Issue

I have been monitoring the growth of this thread over at Howard Forums. Its seems that a lot of people are having issues with the E71 signal strength. It even got to the point that their looking for help to get this issue over to Nokia, some are even asking that Nokia should do a mass recall with this device due to the issue that they have been having. If you’re having trouble with your signal strength you can use the E71′s walkie talkie feature.
Well as for me a current owner of a E71-2 NAM.. I am totally experiencing the opposite. So far I can say this is by far the best phone with the best signal strength I have ever had, and I mean that seriously.

I could go to places where I had the N95 and not have signal, and now using the E71 and have full strength signal, It is really weird, and I am so loving this phone.. It reminds me of my old two way radio.

Something tells me that there were bad batches and some good ones.

It was even noted on BGR that the bad RF is due to the location of the antenna which is located at the back of the phone, below the battery compartment..

Even though I am not experiencing this issue, I am extremely sad and disappointed to the fact that there are by far a lot of people who are having this issue.

As a blogger I am reaching out to Nokia to get some answer on this issue..

Thanks to Friedbrains for creating this poll and thread at Howard Forums to see the numbers of people who are having this issue..

“Near Field Communication” Are we ready for the Future?

For some weeks now, I have been working on a project with WOM World Nokia regarding Nokia’s Near Field Communication Concept.

To find out more about Near Field Communication click here..

Here is a video explaining what is the concept about. click here..

My main task on this project is to gather feedback and comments on the Howard Forums Community. After few weeks WOM World Nokia will be collecting the feedback and comments and give them to the appropriate people at Nokia Research and Development.

I like the fact that Nokia is doing this collecting feedback and comments so they can improve on their technology. That just makes me think that they really do listen to consumers.

Keep it up Nokia!! Looking forward on more surveys to come.

So let me get back to the topic. Are we ready for NFC?

I know Japan is, cause they have been using this technology for years now, it just fascinate me when I hear from a Japanese person that they used their mobile phones to shop at supermarket, or buy train tickets. I envy them for doing this, but I just thought about a theory that “in every good there is also bad”.

Yes using your phone as credit card is a good thing..

What about phone theft?

What if your phone gets lost?

Hacking?

Hmmmmnnn… Makes me think maybe its not such a good idea after all, or they may need to add more security features to it.

Tell us what you think, join the discussion by clicking here. Help Nokia by dropping your comments on what you think about this Nokia NFC Concept. By helping them would actually make our nokia device better in the future.

Another Samsung Symbian Handset on the Horizon

So far so good this has been a Samsung month..

Just browsing my daily feed and found this new Samsung phone called Samsung i7110.

Photobucket

Rumored to be Symbian and equipped with a 5MP camera with a Xenon Flash, with a Business Enterprise look.

Wait a minute… A business phone with a 5MP and Xenon Flash.. (WHOA!!) That’s all I can say..

1st off Samsung messed with the Nseries, and now they picked on the Eseries… Samsung is really putting a big challenge to Nokia.

Like what I have been preaching all along… Nokia needs to step up to the plate!!
